Too much news?

In this age of instant information (i.e. the internet and cable news networks), do you ever feel like you're just trying to process too much information? I know I do. I admit it - I'm an information junkie - an addict. I probably look at CNN.com at least 10 times a day, just to see if there is anything new. Once I'm done with CNN.com, I've got to hit Dallasnews.com (web site for The Dallas Morning News) for the local stuff. It's insane. I can't go an hour without the info! How about the rest of you? Do you find yourself searching out news?

I miss the days of reliable news. It seems like I'm always going through the haystack to find the needle. I'm sick of hearing about celebrities' relationships and politically biased news. The other day, The Daily Show called CNN on a piece they did where they actually interview Ronald McDonald! They interviewed a clown on national television on a NEWSCAST.

Drives me crazy.

I agree with Kurt. Television news has degenerated into reporting rumor and innuendo as fact, without basic research and fact-checking to check on the veracity of the statements.

It's become easier to report that Karl Rove says that liberals want to give therapy to the 9/11 terrorists rather than to actually see if there is any basis to what he said and then denounce him for the lying sack of shit that he is.
